MULTAN: The government is serious in addressing the concerns of the traders and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will soon decide the withdrawal of 0.3 per cent withholding tax on banking trasactions.
This was stated by Federal Minister for Industries Khurram Dastgir Khan, while addressing the industrialists and Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI).
Khurram said that the government wants progress in industrial sector throughout the country including Multan and said that the government is going to announce a new 3-year trade policy within next 15 days. He said that the relief will be provided through State Bank.
The minister said that Pakistan will have to improve its export up to international standard and that is the only way to progress. “It is time now that each and every thread of cotton becomes textile”, said the minister. He said that the excess LNG gas will help curb the energy and gas crisis within next 6 months. He said that Gwadar-Nawabshah pipeline is about to begin and the government of Pakistan will lay down the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.
