World Bank team discusses land management record system with CS Sindh

KARACHI: A two-member World Bank (WB) team on Land Management System, headed by Senior WB Specialist Mary Lesbeth called on Sindh Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon on Wednesday.

Chairman of Planning & Development Board Sindh Muhammad Waseem, Provincial Secretary Zulfiqar Shah and Member Sindh Board of Revenue Manzoor Ahmed Shaikh were also present, said a press release. The CS Sindh noted that Integrated Land Records Management System has been evaluated in Sindh.

Reconstruction of Land Record based on Computerization has taken place while Facilitation Centres have been established in all districts of the province to benefit the people, for verification and authentication of their properties / land records. Rizwan Memon also maintained that the Facilitation Centres are also being expanded to Tehseel Level.

The Chairman of P&D asserted that Sindh has sufficiently progressed in the task with reconstructing and computerizing the Land management Network to facilitate the people concerned. Mary Lesbith expressed satisfaction over the progress thereof and WB consultant Igor Popit also appreciated the task.
