World Bank team visits PRA, discuss tax collection process

LAHORE: World Bank four members team visited the office of Punjab Revenue Autharity (PRA) and holds meeting with the chairman, and other relevant officials.

Sources told Customs Today that visit of World Bank team is a routine matter because WB approve loans for different departments to improve infrastructure.

During the meeting Chairman Raheel Siddique discussed the PRA recovery process and informed the participants that PRA collected 35 percent more revenue during first three months of current Fiscal Year as compared with the collections of previous Fiscal Year.

The leader of World Bank team expressed satisfaction on the tax collection by PRA and said that Pakistan should increase the capacity of all institutions for collection of taxes.

Chairman PRA Raheel Sadique, Representatives of World Bank, member audit Raza Munawar, Deputy Commissioner Enforcement and other officers attended the meeting.
