PERTH: World of Warships closed beta will be available in Australia on March 12 (tomorrow). The new updated version will include five new maps and 50 US and Japanese based warships.

More than enough to wreak havoc across the seven seas, or at the very least the archipelagos that made up the bulk of the Pacific campaign during World War II.

Ships are divided into four classes: aircraft carriers – the command ships that can reign death from above with their cadre of nimble planes; battleships – made for frontline assault; cruisers – the all around ship for balanced play and the maneuverable, but vulnerable destroyers that can take down a ship all by itself, but at the cost of defense.

Players who sign up for the closed beta over on the official site will have access to five original maps, and 50 US and Japanese warships to wage watery war with.

Embedded below you can see a new cinematic trailer for World of Warships, made by Wargaming to celebrate tomorrow’s closed beta launch.
