WPG reports record revenues of $4.26 bln for 4Q15

WASHINGTON: WPG, Asia’s largest distributor of semiconductor components, has reported record consolidated revenues of NT$142.62 billion (US$4.26 billion) for the fourth quarter of 2015. The quarter marked the third consecutive quarter that the company has generated record sales.

WPG posted revenues of NT$47.94 billion for December 2015, up 21.1% from a year earlier. The company credited the positive results to growing market share and shipments of mid to high-end mobile phone, communication-related components.

WPG noted its revenues for the fourth quarter beat the high end of its guidance. The company estimated previously revenues would decline 4-6% to NT$129-135 billion in the fourth quarter. WPG’s consolidated revenues for 2015 increased 13.9% to NT$515.6 billion.
