WTM fails to stop water leakage in the North Karachi Industrial Area

KARACHI: Faisal Moiz Khan, President, North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI), while expressing deep concern over the while expressing concerns over non-prevention of water leakage in the industrial area and continued negligence on the part of the WTM staff of the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, and demanded from the MD KWSB that measures should be taken to eliminate water leakage in the North Karachi industrial area, also ensure to supply of water to the industries as per the production requirement

In a statement, Faisal Moiz Khan pointed out the leakage of water in the industrial area, and said that continuous flow of water is continuing in many places in area. Due to which abundant water is being wasted and water supply to industries is being affected.

Faisal said, “The WTM has been informed several times in this regard and it has been requested that water leakage be eliminated and water be wasted, but the staff did not pay any attention and so far they have not taken any steps to stop the flow of water, as a result, water supply to industries is being disrupted as per requirement and production process is also being affected”, he add.

NKATI president demanded action against the negligent WTM staff, and requested the MD KWSB to take steps on permanent basis to eliminate water leakage in the North Karachi Industrial Area. He also pleas to prevent water wastage so that water can be made available to industries as per demand and production activities can be continued without interruption.
