Li Ning is a local athlete brand in China and the shoes will come fitted with sensors. The shoes will register your walks and runs using motion and pressure sensors. The data is relayed to the pedometer and calorie counter app on your phone. It connects to the phone via Bluetooth.

Two models of the shoes will be made available – one will cost 199 Yuan that is approximately Rs 2000 and the other at 399 Yuan (approx Rs 4,000). Both models will be available in China starting next week.

With this, Xioami and Li Ning will be competing with the likes of Nike’s iPod-connected shoes and the Adidas miCoach Speed Cell.

The company just launched its new smartphone controlled water purifier that is highly portable and comes sans any setup hassle.
