Xiaomi Mi 4 goes on sale in India on Feb 10 to retail for Rs. 19,999 for 16 GB version

MUMBAI: Xiaomi launched its latest flagship phone, the Mi 4, in India at an event in New Delhi.

The device, which will go on sale on Flipkart on February 10 will retail for Rs. 19,999 for the 16 GB version. However, it only comes in one colour – white – and doesn’t support 4G LTE. Registrations for the flash sale will start today.

The Mi 4 is a high-end device that aims to compete with other flagship devices like the iPhone 6 and the OnePlus One on features. It has a Snapdragon 801 processor and 3 GB RAM, which makes it powerful enough to play 3D games on.

“India is an important market for us. We are here to stay,” said Xiaomi’s Vice President of International, Hugo Barra, at the launch event.

Xiaomi, which first entered the Indian market last year, has sold over 1 million phones in the country so far.
