New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi will start selling smartphones in India later this year through its own portal as it to further increase its presence in one of the world’s fast growing devices market. Xiaomi has mostly been relying on Flipkart to sell its smartphones in India, will bring in its website ‘Mi.com’ to India in the latter part of the year.
Xiaomi has mostly sold devices through its own Mi.com website in locations where it operates, India and Indonesia being expectations of course. So it was only a matter of time that the company implemented the same strategy here.
Xiaomi’s India Head, Manu Jain, informed about the brand’s plans to set up its own shop in the country. He disclosed that they’re still in process of choosing partners for warehousing and logistics and still have to decide upon payment methods like COD.
