JACKSON: A former nurse at the Federal Correctional Institution in Yazoo City has been sentenced to two months in prison for smuggling a cellphone into the facility.
Federal prosecutors say in a news release that 43-year-old Lavonne Boose of Benton will be under a year of supervised release after she’s out of prison. She also was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
Boose was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. Magistrate Judge Linda R. Anderson.
