Yorkshire Chambers join forces to take businesses forward with best technology and skills

PETERBOROUGH: West and North Yorkshire Chamber and Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce are hosting an exclusive networking event in partnership with Superfast West Yorkshire.

The breakfast event, to be held at Cedar Court Hotel in Wakefield on Thursday 16 April, will give businesses the opportunity to meet new business contacts from across the region and take their business forward with the best technology and skills development.

Superfast West Yorkshire will provide information on grants available up to £3,000 for superfast broadband and guests will have the chance to talk to suppliers who can help them maximize high speed connectivity, in a small exhibition area.

In addition there will be details about the LEP’s new skills service which will help businesses in the Leeds City Region identify their skills needs, based on their business growth objectives and find the right training solution. A skills adviser will discuss details about the funding, from £500 to £50,000, available to SMEs in a number of sectors including: manufacturing and engineering, low carbon and construction, creative and digital, finance and business, hospitality and tourism, medical technology and transport/logistics.

Darren Precious, head of sales & marketing at West & North Yorkshire Chamber said: “Technology and skills are core areas in any business. We’ve joined forces with Mid Yorkshire Chamber to ensure businesses in Yorkshire are informed and are making the most of the funding and support available.”
