Zeba Hai Azhar assumes charge as chief collector of Customs Central Region

LAHORE:  Zeb Hai Azhar has assumed charge of Chief Collector of Customs Central Region after relinquishing her charge as director of customs Intelligence and Investigations Lahore. As per details Zeb Hai Azhar assumed the new charge as Chief Collector of Customs Central Region on Thursday.

Central Region comprising of four collectorates including Collectorate of Customs Preventive Lahore, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Lahore, Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad and Collectorate of Customs Multan.

Zeba has been working on various posts in the customs department and enjoys good reputation in the departments.

She has proved instrumental in enabling various collectoartes and directorates to increase collection of sales tax, customs duty, withholding tax and other taxes.

Sources said that Zeb Hai Azhar has already started holding meetings with the customs staff and officers of the Central Region in order to overcome smuggling and increase revenue to meet the financial year target.
