ISLAMABAD: Recently appointed Member Technical, Ziauddin Wazir, has given joining at the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad.
Ministry of Law and Justice had appointed Ziauddin Wazir as member technical of Bench-I of the tribunal’s headquarters in the capital city. Despite giving joining, the member has yet not started coming to the office owing to summer vacations.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had approved his appointment in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section 3 of Section-194 of Customs Act, 1969.
Ministry’s notification, issued on July 15, further stated that the said appointment was deputation for the period of three years or till he attain the age of superannuation or until further orders whichever is earlier, with effect from the date he assumes charge of the said post.
It is pertinent to mention that he had given joining at office after lapse of over a week despite issuance of his appointment notification by the Ministry of Law and Justice.
