10 hotels, 1 restaurant sealed for sales tax evasion

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority has sealed 10 hotels and a restaurant in Faisalabad for not getting registered with the Authority and non-payment of sales tax.

Deputy Commissioner Punjab Revenue Authority Asif Nadeem alongwith police force paid a surprise visit to different hotels and restaurants in the city and sealed Zam Zam hotel, Al-Falah hotel, Punjab hotel, Sangam hotel, King hotel, Mubarak hotel, Maqsood hotel, Kosal hotel, Raja hotel, Jeddah hotel and Tabaq restaurant on Jaranwala Road, said official sources.

They said that notices were served on the owners of these hotels advising them to to get register with Punjab Revenue Authority and pay their sales tax but they did not pay any heed in this regard.

They said that all types of services providing business were bound to get registered with the Punjab Revenue Authority.
