12 road development schemes approved

FAISALABAD: As many as 12 schemes of construction, repair and maintenance of roads at a cost of Rs 62 million from sugarcane cess funds will be completed in three districts of Faisalabad division.

The approval of schemes was given in a meeting of divisional sugarcane development cess committee held with divisional commissioner Captain (Retd) Nasim Nawaz in the chair here Tuesday.

DCOs Jhang and Toba Tek Singh, Xen Provincial Highways, EDO finance and others were present in the meeting.

The schemes were approved by the committee included construction of road from Chak No 540-GB to Rehme Shah via Kanjvani, Tehsil Tandlianwla.

In district Jhang: Jamali Khurd to Jamali Kalan Road, Athara Hazari Nawanwala Kot chowk to Jamali Khurd. In district Toba Tek Singh; Yakki gato to adda Kot Khatram, Bypass Rajahana Road to toba Khekha Road, Qazi Ghalib to Sindhlianwala abdul Hakeem Road, Petroleum Services to Chak No 713-GB, Chak No 521-GB to Chak No 519-GB, Peer Mehal Road to Chak No 683/24-GB, Railway crossing 296-GB to Seim Nullah Chak No 290-GB and Gojra-Pencehra Road to Chak No 363-JB.
