180 class-VI staff reshuffled at all Customs establishments

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive has undertaken large scale reshuffling at the levels of hawaldars, drivers, sepoys, niab qasid, qasid and daftri.

The transfers and postings of class-VI staff was ordered with immediate effect and until further order. An office order said that the staff stand relieved from their duties with immediate effect with the directions to report at the new place of postings as reflected against their names.

The collectorate reshuffled the class-VI staff including sepoys, hawaldars, drivers, qasid and naib qasid were transferred and posted at Land Freight Unit Wagha, Passenger Facilitation Center Wagha, Customs Intelligence Headquarters, Internal audit, Air Freight Unit (AFU) Valuation, Adjudication, Anti-Smuggling Organization, Airport Traffic, Railways station, Input Output Coefficient Organization (IOCO) directorate of training and other places.

The collectorate has reshuffled as many as 180 class-VI staff all across the customs establishments in Lahore.

Sources told Customs Today that the top management has reshuffled the class-VI staff in order to provide all the staff to learn about the working of other sections as well.

A top official on the condition of anonymity said that such reshuffling are very important in order to bring transparency and smooth working of the departments.

They also disclosed that most of the class-VI were serving at one place for more than five years
