FBR seeks performance report of customs field staff on daily basis

SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all Customs Collectorates of the country to send performance report of their field staff on daily basis. Sources told Customs Today that performance report will help evaluate to select genuine employees for promotion. Sources said that the government gives performance allowance to field staff so they are bound to show excellent performance because customs staff are being provided all available resources to curb smuggling.

Sources told that the field staff performance to curb smuggling is much better while the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) is making success to anti-smuggling campaign which was launched by the FBR.

Sources told FBR has intimated that performance allowance will be approved for only those employees who will show excellent performance. Sources said that it was also observed that some of field staff is getting performance despite their less performance but are getting performance allowance. Sources said that now performance allowance will not granted to those employees who will show outstanding performance and their performance will be observed on daily basis.
