PESHAWAR: At least 23 drivers after returning from Afghanistan tested positive for COVID-19 which created fear among customs staff and agents.

Customs offices and stations and bonded carriers are essential services because these are keeping business afloat. However, these drivers have put other officials at high risk, as Customs had not been provided PPE by government. There had been no safety and precautionary measures to protect the essential services from the pandemic.
