Customs Court hears 21 cases on Monday

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 cases which were scheduled for hearing on Monday.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling proceeded on many cases while a few were adjourned without any progress.

The Customs Court also granted bail in a case of alleged smuggling. In which an accused Muhammad Asim applied for a pre arrest bail in alleged smuggling case where the court after hearing his counsel’s arguments and approved his bail against guarantee of cash.

In another cases, the Customs Court adjourned pre arrest bails of accused namely Muhammad Nadeeem, Saif ul Rehman, Shahid Mehboob in cases of narcotics, smuggling and tax evasion. Court also extended judicial remand of Muhammad Ashfaq in smuggling case and sent him to jail for further trial.
