Additional Collector Beelam issues notice to owner of smuggled vehicle

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam-ur-Ramzan has issued a show cause notice to Alamgir Khan  who is owner of a foreign origin used Toyota  Premio car which was being used for smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today that Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounded the foreign used Toyota Premio car  bearing registration no. A -001 KPK during an intelligence based operation near MM  Road Mianwali , Faisalabad . The worth of the vehicle is Rs 2086000/.
During the checking of vehicle, the Customs Intelligence team intercepted the vehicle and its owner introduced himself as Alamgir Khan  .
On demand of the Customs Intelligence team, he failed to produce documents regarding legal import of the vehicle. The Customs Intelligence team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication.
