LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Punjab, in its 34th meeting of current fiscal year 2014-15, has approved five development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs12.8 billion.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments.
According to P&DD spokesman, the approved development schemes included construction of Reproductive Maternal New-born & Child Health (RMNCH) & Nutrition Program at cost of Rs9135.006 million, Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery Block at B.V. Hospital Bahawalpur at cost of Rs1491.089 million, THQ Hospital Sarai Alamgir, District Gujrat at cost of Rs229.497 million, Flood Embankments and Protection Works along left and right Bank of River Indus near Miranpur Linkage N-5 at Arbi Tibba with Rahimyarkhan Iqbalabad at cost of Rs866.896 million and to double Lahore-Faisalabad-Jhang-Bhakkar Road from km No 155.75 to 170.45, up-to (M-4) length=14.70 km, Faisalabad at cost of Rs1081.994 million.
