MUZAFFARGARH: PODA, a non-governmental organisation, has launched a programme to train about 500 growers to boost agriculture produce in the district.
Addressing the launching ceremony, EDO Agriculture Mian Abid Hussain said that agriculture department was extending all possible assistance to promote farming sector in the province.
Earlier, NCHD Chairman Malik Khair Muhammad Budh stated that NGOs and other private sector should also work on agriculture sector like they were paying more focus on education and healthcare sectors. He observed that 70 percent population of country was attached to agriculture sector, however, there was dire need to train youth to promote agriculture sector.
