5th Int’l Foundry Congress, Exhibition: FCCI seeks revamp of foundry sector

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) and other stakeholders review arrangement for the 5th International Foundry Congress and Exhibition scheduled to be held in Lahore under the auspices of Pakistan Foundry Association (PFA).

Later addressing a press conference, FCCI President Eng Rizwan Ashraf said that the foundry was the second largest sector after textile and there was a dire need for its up-gradation to reoganised it on modern lines.

He said that most of the spare parts of textile machinery were being prepared in local foundries, adding that this sector had also played an important role in the manufacturing of agricultural appliance which had helped boosted the country’s agri production.

The FCCI president lauded the organization of 5th International Foundry Congress and Exhibition and urged upon the foundry owners and its workers to attend the event to update their knowledge.
