ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif, while talking to a private TV channel, has said that the government will sign any future agreement with K-Electric after proper consideration.
He said that the government’s 650 megawatt agreement with K-Electric and any deal relating to power sector in future will be discussed at large before finalising it. He said that the government was trying to take benefit of the receding crude oil prices in the international market and pass it to masses.
The minister said that long-term agreements are being prepared for buying oil from the international market on the reduced prices. “We want to take benefit of the reduced crude oil prices in the world market for passing its outcome to the countrymen,” the minister added.
