79 shopkeepers held, 33 fined for overcharging

LAHORE: The city district government Friday arrested 79 shopkeepers for overcharging and also lodged 49 FIRs against violators of Price Act.

The City District Government (CDGL) teams also sent 30 persons, out of total 48 to jail for three days after summary trial on the spot. As many as 33 shopkeepers were challaned and fine was imposed worth Rs 44,000.
