Customs seizes smuggled vehicles, goods worth Rs 15b from April 2014 to Jan 2015 in Multan

MULTAN: Model Customs Collectorate during its anti Smuggling operations has seized the smuggled vehicles and miscellaneous goods worth Rs.15 billion from April 2014 to January 2015.
The Model Customs Collectorate Multan of Anti Smuggling Unit has impounded the 76 total imported smuggled vehicles which included the PRADO, Honda Civic, Toyota Hilux, sierra Jeep, Jimmy, Corolla, Honda Accord, and others worth Rs. 56.4 Million. A large haul of electronic goods, mini exchanger, cell phones, sledges, sewing machines, Mobile phone accessories, winter clothes, food grain, tires, and other items were also included. Despite this, smuggled oil worth Rs.28 million, Indian drugs worth Rs.3 million, tyres worth Rs.5.5 million and many other smuggled products like carpets, rugs, blankets, ceramic and tiles were included.
Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich has taken the charge of Collector at Model Customs Collectorate Multan and he did his dire struggle to curb smuggling.
