Kuwait DCGD seizes 250g illicit opium, nabs two Iranians

KUWAIT CITY: Officers from the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) arrested two Iranians for drug smuggling with a quarter kilogram of opium in their possession. In a press statement, the department revealed the suspects were put under surveillance soon after it received information on their illegal activity.

The officers then raided the apartment of one of the suspects, leading to the discovery of 50 grams of opium. During investigation, the suspect admitted to drug dealing and guided police to his compatriot who was also arrested as the officers found 200 grams of opium in his possession. Both suspects were referred to the relevant authority for legal action.
