Lahore: Customs court hears 37 cases of smuggling, tax evasion

LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Wednesday heard 37 different cases of smuggling and tax evasion.

According to details, the court issued notices in two cases to the guarantors of the accused as accused did not appear before court to attend the hearing of the case.

Court issued notices to Noor Ahmad and M. Yaqoob, guarantors and asked them to present the accused before court to avoid legal action.

In other different cases, court heard the arguments of the lawyers and adjourned the cases for next hearing. Total 37 cases were scheduled on April 15. Court issued notices in two cases and adjourned 35 cases for next hearing.
