Statistics Bureau shows 4.8% inflation in 10 month of FY2014-15, fell by 3%

ISLAMABAD: Statistics Bureau stated on Monday that the inflation rate for the first 10 months for the current fiscal year has been recorded at 4.8. Transport fares fell by 3 percent while electricity and gas prices rose by 6.5 percent.

Talking to a press conference Asif Bajwa, Chairman Federal Bureau of Statistics, said that inflation rate for the current fiscal year has been recorded at 4.8. During this time, the price of lentil increased by 20 percent, potates by 18 percent, cigarettes by 21 percent while expense of educational facilities increased by 14 percent.

According to Chairman Bureau of Statistics, the first 10 months for the current fiscal year saw an increase of 24 percent in price of onions, 23 percent in tomatoes, 15 percent in kerosene oil while 15 percent increase had been observed in motor-oil.
