FBR assigns Rs 2.6 billion target to Faisalabad RTO for May

FAISALABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has assigned a target of Rs 2.6 billion to the Regional Tax Office (RTO) Faisalabad for the running month.

In a notification, the FBR has directed the Regional Tax Office to recover taxes, including income tax to the tune of Rs 1.9 billion, sales tax amounting to Rs 770 million and Rs 51 million as federal excise duty (FED), during May 2015.

The FBR has also directed the authorities concerned to ensure meeting the assigned target by the end of the month. It is important to mention that shortfall of the RTO during the third quarter of the year stands at 17 percent.

However, the RTO has assured the FBR that all possible steps will be taken to meet the set target by the end of the current fiscal year.
