KARACHI: Anti-Smuggling Wing of Directorate Customs Intelligence & Investigation on Friday confiscated 800 smuggled tyres worth Rs 15 million from a godown in Karachi. According to official sources, on a tip-off, teams of Intelligence and Rangers conducted a joint raid and seized 800 smuggled tyres.
Sources said that a suspect was also taken into custody in the raid. Moreover, sources said that further investigation was underway.
In another raid, Anti-Smuggling Wing of the Customs Intelligence & Investigation also recovered 300 smuggled tyres worth Rs 3 million.
