Multan Customs I&I seizes generators, vehicles worth Rs 11.2m
Multan: Customs Intelligence and investigations (I&I) seized smuggled generators and vehicles worth Rs 11.2 million on charges of duty evasion.
As per details, Multan Customs I&I confiscated the imported generator due to non-payment of customs duty along with mini trucks used in the smuggling of generator.
Deputy Director Customs I&I Nisar Ahmad formed a special team which conducted a search operation on tip of informer and seized generators and mini trucks worth Rs7.6 million in the locality of Muzaffargarh on duty evasion.
Moreover, Customs I&I in another raid seized three imported cars worth Rs 3.6 million on charges of duty evasion near Kabirwala-Khanewal road.
The customs I&I lodged FIR against culprits and further investigation were in progress.
