FBR recovers Rs 6.9 million from bank account of Power Vision

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue has frozen the bank account of Power Vision for being a defaulter of Rs 17 million in the wake of income tax.

According to sources, the Regional Tax Office-II has recovered Rs 6.9 million from a bank account of M/s Power Vision. The company was involved in income tax evasion and even after many reminder notices it failed to pay the default amount.

Upon the company’s failure, the RTO-II team under the supervision of Inland Revenue Assistant Commissioner Salman Naveed Butt took action against the defaulter company and froze its bank accounts and recovers Rs 6.9 million from Bank Al Habib, Thokar Niaz Baig Branch, Lahore.

The amount has already been deposited in the national treasury. It is pertinent to mention here that the Federal Board of Revenue is very vigilant against income tax and sales tax defaulters and is taking strict action against such defaulters on a daily basis.
