KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 198.10 points or 0.58 percent to reach 34331.94 points and volume of 179,594,520 shares on Tuesday.
In midday trading, the KSE come out of bearish trend as benchmark 100-index up 0.71 per cent, by gaining 241.92 points to take the tally to 34375.76 points level.
On Tuesday, the KSE-100 index lost 144.59 points or 0.42 percent to reach 34133.83 points and volume of 163,564,020 shares. Total volume traded in the market was 163,564,020 shares with 363 total traded companies out of which 170 were up 162 were down and 31 were unchanged.
Total volume traded in the market was 391,857,490 shares with 381 total traded companies out of which 217 were up 136 were down and 28 were unchanged.
Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 72,148,300 shares. It was followed by Power Generation and Distribution with a total traded volume of 43,006,000 shares.
The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 32,955,000 and price per share of 8.54 (0.10), Dewan Salman with a volume 25,243,000 of price per share of 2.97 (0.57), Pace (Pak) Ltd. with a volume 22,716,000 of price per share of 6.37 (1.00).
The top three advancers were Bata (Pak) with price per share 3549.63 (100.63), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1188.33 (39.42) and Bhanero Tex. share of 474.00 (22.50).
The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 10200.00 (-155.00), Sapphire Fiber with price per share of 590.00 (-22.23) and Sanofi-Aventisper share of 630.00 (-18.00).
High and low were 34400.90 and 34133.83 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 179,594,520 shares.
