Peshawar Customs collects Rs 5429.86 million duties this year

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar MCC has collected Rs 5429.86 million custom duties as compared to Rs 4,909.51 million it had collected in the corresponding period of 2014.

According to official statistics, MCC Peshawar had collected Rs 5,429.86 gross custom duties and Rs 5,040.37 million net custom duties until May 2015. While Rs 4,909.51 million gross custom duties and Rs 4,231.98 million net custom duties were collected during corresponding period in 2014.

The official statistics of MCC Peshawar further said that collection of sale tax on import also increased in 2015 as Rs 4,705.24 million net sale tax on imports were collected and Rs 4,703.03 million gross sale tax on imports were collected. However, last year, MCC Peshawar had collected Rs 3,739.35 net sale tax and Rs 3739.35 million gross sale tax on imports.
