114 senior FBR officers have no income tax registration

ISLAMABAD: At least 114 senior officers of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), from BPS 17 to 20, are not registered for income tax.

According to a new list, the officers having no registration for income tax include a BPS-20 director general and BPS-17 assistant collector (prob).
The list of officers consists of one director general, seven BPS-19 officers including commissioner, additional collector, additional commissioner, additional director and collector.
Similarly, it includes 34 officers of grade 18 — deputy collector, second secretary, additional commissioner, deputy collector, chief accounts officer, deputy collector, additional collector, deputy director, deputy chemical examiner, deputy commissioner, chief accounts officer, accounts officer and private secretary.
The remaining 72 BPS-17 officers having no income tax registration are: assistant commissioner, assistant commissioner (prob), assistant collector (prob), assistant director, private secretary, programmer, assistant collector, Inland Revenue audit officer, deputy collector, administrative officer, assistant federal treasury officer and second secretary.
