ISLAMABAD: The All Pakistan Traders Association and the National Traders Association have announced a countrywide shutter down strike from August 1 against 0.3 percent withholding tax on bank transactions.

During a meeting, the business community rejected 0.3 percent withholding tax and raised slogans against government for levying the tax.

He further stated that one group of traders has already announced strike against withholding tax on August 5, but “we will try over best to convince them to change the date of strike and hopefully they will also join us for shutter down, as it is decided by all traders representatives and which will be on August 1.”
