SIALKOT: A district court has awarded seven years rigorous imprisonment (RI) to a convict Muhamamd Rizwan in Gujranwala’s main fraud case.

According to the prosecution, the convict Muhammad Rizwan had embezzled as many as Rs 100 million of his Denmark-based relative woman Saleema Bibi two years ago in Gujranwala. The convict had asked her to buy a luxurious bunglow for her in Gujranwala. On his assurance, she had sent Rs 100 million to him from Denmark, but instead of purchasing a luxurious house for her family, he embezzled the money and started threatening her and her family of dire consequences.
