ISLAMABAD: The meeting of special committee tasked to negotiate with trade representatives of the country on withdrawal of withholding tax will be held today. These meeting will be presided over by chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa.
It is pertinent to mention here, that traders community already rejected these committees, but on the other hand government is going to adopt a comprehensive strategy to defeat the strike of traders. These two particular committees will submit their final recommendations on 13th of August, 2015.
The committee which calls Income Tax committee include convener Pervaiz Malik MNA, while its other members are senior member inland revenue Shahid Hussain Asad, Shaikh Asif Ali from Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ex-president LCCI Mohammad Ali Mian, FPCCI’s Zubair Tufail, Pakistan Muslim Traders’s Anjum Mehmood But, president ICCI Muzammil Hussain Sabri, FPCCI Malik Sohail Hussain, PML-N, Khawaja Tanveer Ashraf, Chartered Accountant, Lahore Asim Zulfiqar, VPFPCCI Zarar Kaleem, ex-president Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashif Shabbir.
In another committee which calls Communication Committee include convener PML-N, MNA Mian Abdul Manan, others members are FBR FIAT Nadeem Dar, FPCCI Zubair Tufail, president Muslim Traders Wing Anjum Mehmood Butt, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Syed Asad Mushadi, president ICCI Muzammil Hussain Suharwardi, general secretary Punjab Sugar Dealers Assocation Amir Waheed Shaikh, president KPK Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fawad Ishaq and ex president Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Mohammad Ali.
