RCCI organises 4-day Pakistan Show in US

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), in collaboration with the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce US (PCC), has organised four-day Pakistan Show and a trade conference at Houston, US.

Consul General of Pakistan in Houston Afzaal Mehmood, RCCI President Syed Asad Mashadi, PCC President Syed Waseem Akhter, Pak World Trade Expo Vice Chairman Muhammad Khursheed Barlas, Foreign Affair Standing Committee Chairman Raja Aamir, Commercial Counsellor of Pakistan Fawad Hassan and businessmen from Pakistan and USA also participated in the conference.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Afzaal Mehmood said that Pakistani Consulate would facilitate the business community of both countries so that they could play their role to enhance bilateral trade.

RCCI President Syed Asad Mashadi said that Texas state itself was bigger than many countries of the world and Pakistani businessmen should avail this opportunity. He also highlighted the potential sectors of Pakistan where US businessmen should invest.

At the end of the conference, the RCCI and PCCI presidents also signed an MOU with a commitment that both chamber would work together for enhancement of Pakistan Trade in USA.

The key feature of the show was the introduction of Pakistani textile products in the USA. In Pakistan show some 71 companies across Pakistan took part and established their stalls and displayed their products. Large numbers of Pakistani and American business took keen interests in Pakistani products in this regard business to business successful meeting between exhibitors and business men of USA which was held in Pakistan Show.
