Excise Dept announces 200% surcharge on tax defaulter vehicles

LAHORE: After a three-day relief to token tax evaders, the Excise and Taxation Department has started a crackdown on the tax defaulter vehicles.

The department would collect token tax with a 200 percent surcharge. According to details, the token tax defaulters were told to submit fee until the end of September without any extra charges. Source said that the officials have been deputed on roads to confiscate the token tax defaulter vehicles or their registration papers.
