PESHAWAR: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced to provide technical support to Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation (PEDO) in utilisation of available resources for power generation.
According to a PEDO official, the bank has suggested to the organisation to chalk out 15-year energy development roadmap to expeditiously execute the important projects in energy sector in the province. It was said that ADB would hire services of international consultants for development in energy sector in KP. The consultants would utilize hydel and solar resources available in the province and provide energy in the deprived areas.
The official further said that small power generation houses would also be installed at community level while ADB would assist in preparation of feasibility studies for different projects in power sector besides providing technical assistance and investment.
