FBR directs RTOs, LTUs to start campaign against non-filers, defaulters

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs) to gear up campaign against non-filers and defaulters.

The sources told Customs Today that the basic purpose of starting campaigns against non-filers and defaulter is to bring them in to the tax net. The sources further said that almost 1,000 notices have been sent to defaulters and non-filers in this regard. The FBR official said that over 70,000 notices will be issued to non-filers and defaulters in the near future.
