KPCCI Chairman vows to make rigorous efforts for bussiness commuity

PESHAWAR: The newly-elected President of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (KPCCI) Zulfiqar Ali Khan vowed to make rigorous efforts for resolution of business community issues, and to formulate policies with their consultation.

He was addressing an Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the chamber house, which attended by Leader of Businessman Forum, Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, the KPCCI outgoing president, Faud Ishaq and member of newly-elected cabinet of the chamber also present.

Zulfiqar, who took charge of his office as president of KPCCI said it is not an easy job, however, he vowed they would take traders and industrialists on board, and would devise policies with their consultation. “I will not disappoint the business community and would make all out efforts for provision of incentives and resolution of their issues on priority basis.

He viewed despite the odds circumstances, the traders and shopkeepers had continued their businesses. He said it is top priority to provide incentive to terrorism-affected business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The KPCCI president stressed the need of tax-reforms, broadening of existing tax-net, promotion of industrialization, investment, full respect for taxpayers, exploiting the potential of the province, besides fostering trade and economic relations with neighbouring Afghanistan and regional countries.

Leader of Businessman Forum, Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour and former president, Faud Ishaq also addressed the meeting and congratulated the newly-elected cabinet, backed by Businessmen Forum. They viewed that newly elected president Zulfiqar Ali Khan is fully capable to resolve the issues and problems, being faced by business community in the province.

It is pertinent to mentioning here that for last five years, the candidates of Businessman Forum elected unopposed for the cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI). This year the KPCCI cabinet also elected unopposed for next term, 2015-16.
