Customs Court heard 27 cases on Monday

LAHORE: In the Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling 27 different cases were scheduled for hearing on Monday.

In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti smuggling total 27 cases were heard in which the court proceeded on many cases while few adjourned without any proceedings.

The Customs Court also granted  bail in a case of alleged smuggling. According to details available with Customs Today, a suspect Muhammad Aslam applied for a pre-arrest bail in alleged smuggling case. The court after hearing his lawyer’s arguments approved his bail against guarantee of cash payment.

The Customs Court adjourned pre-arrest bails of Shaukat Ali, Alfred, Tahir Mahmood, Shahbaz Ahmad, Muhammad Atique, Ihsan Elahi and Abdul Khaliq. The Customs Court adjourned pre-arrest bail pleas of accused Malik Siraj once again.

Cases scheduled for hearing on Monday including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on four different cases on the day.
