ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) division bench dismissed a tax reference filed by Telenor Pakistan.
Telenor Pakistan challenged an ATIR decision of not granting stay in a case involving over Rs 3 billion. Telenor had filed the reference through its counsel Ali Sibtain Fazil and challenged ATIR dismissal of a stay application.
IHC division bench comprising of Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Aamer Farooq heard the reference and dismissed it stating that stay application dismissal could not be challenged in higher judiciary. Advocate Hafiz Munawar Iqbal represented ATIR.
