Customs Court sends seven alleged smugglers to jail on judicial remand

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs taxation and Anti Smuggling has approved 14 days judicial custody of seven accused involved in smuggling of different items from Afghanistan to different cities across Pakistan.

According to details available to Customs Today accused Asad ul Latif, Shahnawaz, Noor Jan, Noor Ahmad, Hazarat Ali, Abdul Waheed and Jalil Ahmad were booked by the Customs authorities in Dera Ghazi khan. Customs team also recovered a huge quantity of smuggled items from their possession and three trucks were caught from the spot too. Trucks loaded with smuggled new and used tyres, motor oils and auto parts were loaded on those trucks.
