PBIT to attract investors through media

LAHORE: Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) is striving for creating investment opportunities and attracting investors in the province through utilising ‘force’ of media.

PBIT Chief Operating Officer Amena Zafar Cheema said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken the initiative to promote the province’s business viability to keen investors all over the world. She further said that Punjab is the economic backbone of Pakistan.

PBIT Chairman Abdul Basit said, “Investment environment has improved drastically in the last two years because of the better security situation and lucrative investment incentives offered by the current government.

A sizeable participation from all the major print and electronic media outlets was witnessed. Suggestions from the media included, more focus on the Research & Development and SMEs, serious efforts to take benefit from the GSP plus status and investment friendly policies to attract the international community.
