It is transpired that M/s Eman Enterprises imported 12 consignments of textile knitted fabrics and filed Goods Declaration claiming PCT Heading 6001.9290 chargeable to customs duty at 16 percent under FTA SRO 659(I)/2007.

Whereas, the imported goods are correctly classifiable under PCT Heading 6005.3200 chargeable to CD at 17 percent FTA SRO.

The wrong classification of PCT Heading in 12 GDs has resulted into short realization of taxes which is recoverable, sources said.

In this regard, DC Ghulam Nabi Kamboh has directed the Appraising Group to initiate recovery process from the importer.
