Revenue officers told to decide overseas Pakistanis’ revenue cases in 90 days

LAHORE: The Board of Revenue (BOR) has issued instructions to the revenue courts/ revenue officers to decide the judicial cases, pertaining to overseas Pakistanis within 90 days.

A meeting to settle modalities in this regard was held between Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti and Board of Revenue Senior Member Jawwad Rafique Malik. It was decided in the meeting that for expeditious disposal of revenue case of the overseas Pakistanis, the OPC and the BOR officials would meet fortnightly to review the pace of the development in pending cases.

Senior member informed the OPC commissioner that instructions have also been conveyed to the revenue officers of the province for quick disposal of the cases of overseas Pakistanis.

Afzaal Bhatti said that for the prompt decisions of the revenue judicial cases of the overseas pakistanis role of BOR revenue officers is of great importance. Jawwad Rafique Malik appraised the commissioner OPC about the detail of the cases of overseas Pakistanis. During the meeting, matters pertaining to deployment of BOR staff to the OPC office also came under discussion.
